How is pick order decided in lol?
Team members are assigned a pick order and cannot pick until their turn arrives. Each player has a hidden account number that is compared against their teammates within an algorithm that determines pick order. Theoretically, the order is maintained when playing with the exact same players.
Why do I keep getting first pick lol?
If you are duo/group queueing, the captain of the team will get swapped in for first pick(and banner) if any of the team is randomly put in that first spot and they will replace the captain in whatever spot he is in.
