No, it would not at all – it would make a terrible sketching device. First of all, the iPad Mini 1, 2, and 3 are all too old and slow to support a Bluetooth stylus – you would need a minimum of a Mini 4 to have any kind of decent performance with drawing. Second, the non-Apple Pencil stylus are terrible.
