How much gap should be around a shed door?
Check the fit around the inner edges of the door. There should be 1/4″ on all sides of the inner door frame between the door frame and the door opening inside of the shed. Check the fit of the plywood outer face of the door against the siding on the shed. There should also be a 1/4″ gap on all sides on the outside.
Do I need a header for a shed door?
When framing for shed doors and window openings, it is very important that you frame in headers above the openings. All door and window openings must have headers above them to carry the load or weight from above. With a shed, typically this load is the roof framing.
How do you build a door for a shed door?
