Can you use Perspex for a roof?

Can you walk on a Perspex roof?
Plastic or polycarbonate roofing is usually considered non-trafficable. When it is necessary to walk on plastic sheets, you need to provide roof ladders or walk boards as a temporary crossing. Regardless of the roof type, walking on a roof can be dangerous.
Can you get clear polycarbonate roofing panels?

Which is cheaper polycarbonate or Perspex?

What’s the difference between perspex and polycarbonate?
Polycarbonate can be more bendy and flexible, especially in thinner grades. Acrylic or Perspex is often still used in secondary glazing, as well as the display market. Polycarbonate is the option to go for if you want an almost unbreakable clear plastic sheet.
Is a conservatory roof strong enough to stand on?
Conservatory roofs are not designed to be load bearing. Do not try to stand, walk or crawl along them, conservatory roofs and glass panels are not designed to stand on! If need be you can get crawl boards and place them over the glazing bars, but this can be dangerous, so is best avoided wherever possible.
Will a conservatory roof take my weight?
While the glazing bars of a conservatory roof can take the weight of an average adult, the danger comes if you put weight onto the glazing as this does not have the same load bearing strength and could shatter. This will ensure that you do not need to accidentally stand on any glazed areas.
Is polycarbonate the same as Perspex?
Acrylic sheet, which is also known as polymethyl methacrylate sheet (PMMA), is made from a derivative of natural gas and trades under the name Perspex® along with other brand names. Polycarbonate is sold under the trade names Lexan® and Makrolon® and is used in various applications.
Can you use Perspex outside?
They are an ideal product to use outdoors as they are heat resistant up to 160 degrees C. Many restaurants prefer to use acrylic crockery and glassware as it is durable, shatterproof and easy to clean. As it is synthetic, acrylic (i.e. Perspex) is easy to reuse.
