Tacview is a universal flight data analysis tool which enables you to easily record, analyze and understand any flight to improve your skills much faster than with conventional debriefings.

Tacview can read and record flight data from the most popular flight simulators: DCS World, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-Plane, Lockheed Martin® Prepar3D®, Microsoft Flight Simulator, VRS TacPack & Superbug, Enemy Engaged Comanche vs. Hokum, as well as Command: Modern Operations, and many more to come!

Where do Tacview files go?

By default, Tacview records all DCS World flight in \Documents\Tacview\ folder. Search for any *. zip. acmi files on your hard drive to make sure that your flights are not stored in an unexpected place.

How do I use Tacview?

Just open Tacview, click on the recording icon in the top toolbar, check “Record DCS World flights”. That’s it! A DCS logo icon should appear in the bottom-right corner (along with a popup), telling you DCS flights will be recorded.

1. First, you must enable Tacview data recording in IL‑2 configuration file: Open \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\startup.cfg and make sure that tacviewrecord = 1.
2. Now, as soon you are in flight, press LCtrl+R and IL‑2 will record Tacview telemetry data.

TacViews BASIC ability is to use it for AAR for the free and standard edition. You have it in other compatible titles (DCS/BMS) as well…. it’s a BS excuse that it’s ONLY reserved for the Pro version. Unbelievable considering the pricetag for the Advanced Edition!

Can I use tacview with cmano/CMO?
