Are Satoh Tractors any good?
Without question, the Satoh has been the most dependable, trouble free of all. Also I had a Satoh 650G about 25hp with a mazada engine. It was patterned after an 8N. Very good little tractor.

Is there an alternative to a Satoh Bull tractor?
IMHO…The only alternative is to buy a much earlier American tractor (Hey…nothing wrong with that!) like a Ford N series, Farmall etc. but usually need immediate mechanical attention or complete overhaul…and/or restoration. An old friend of mine had a Satoh Bull, he passed away some years ago but his son is still running the tractor.
