Can I sell my Sky Plus HD box?
Provided you’re out of contract with Sky and the box is yours to sell, then you could consider selling it on eBay, where they can earn some decent money. Can you use Sky HD box without subscription?
A large number of digital TV channels can be viewed on a Sky Digibox without a Sky subscription or a viewing card, as the signal is not encrypted – see Sky’s Free to Air channel list. If you have an old Sky box and a satellite dish, you should be able to watch these free-to-air channels.

What can I do with my old Sky box?
You can also send us old equipment to recycle. We reuse most parts of your old products and recycle the rest. If your Sky Q or broadband kit has been loaned to you as part of your subscription, you’ll need to return it to us when you leave. If you hang on to it, you’ll pay a non-return fee.
Can I use my old Sky box without a dish?
Sky boxes have no functionality in the absence of a satellite signal: the card makes no difference. Without a dish, your choices are Freeview (digital terrestrial) via an external or internal aerial, or streaming television services such as NowTV.
