Is Lelit a good brand?

Lelit is an amazing brand and I have a decade of daily use to back it up. I won’t budge on this and Lelit has earned a dedicated lifetime customer in me. Lastly, I can’t say enough good about 1st-line Espresso, the only seller of Lelit products stateside that I’m aware of.

Would you recommend the Bezzera Silvia or lelit?

I rarely ever drink lattes (or other steamed milk based drinks) though. Wouldn’t recommend a single boiler machine if you did. My experience with the Silvia is great and I have no qualms against the Lelit, but if you want a more substantial steam arm, the Bezzera Hobby comes with that nice feature.

Should I buy the PID or the Silvia?

The pid missing is a bummer, but not everyone needs it. It steams really well thats for sure And you can temp surf for good shots. You wont regret going for the silv, idk about the lelit Maybe it can go the mile too. One thing: silvias have good resell value Hope that helps

The stock Silvia doesn’t have a PID or pressure gauge. But with the brass boiler and brass portafilter, if you give Silvia a chance to fully warm up (like, 30 minutes) there’s lots in the build that designed to keep the temperature stable throughout the shot.
