What happened to Walden Guitars?
Our team built the Walden brand into quite a respected brand with numerous reviews, satisfied dealers and guitarists in over 70 countries worldwide. In 2014, KHS, Walden’s owner, decided to cease production and I moved on to work with Breedlove Guitars and Washburn Guitars.
Where are Walden guitars made?

Walden Guitars were originally built in the small town of Lilan, nearby Langfang, China. Formed in 1996, Walden Guitars was a collaboration between CFox Guitars, Inc. luthiers Charles Fox and Jonathan Lee, and Taiwan instrument manufacturer KHS Musical Instruments.
Where are Walden acoustic guitars made?
Walden guitars were made in a town called Lilan since 1996. Lilan is a small town located about a 2 hour drive south of Beijing, China. All Walden guitar models are built there beginning with milling and seasoning through final setup and inspection.
Which tonewoods are used in Walden Guitars?
Available in NATURA 500 and the SUPRANATURA line. Genuine Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) is used for fingerboard & bridge and some back & side material for most Walden guitars. Rosewood is an exceptional tonewood representing the best balance of tone, beauty, stability and sustainability.
