Can you paint DRIcore Smartwall?
DRIcore SMARTWALL is a product that combines framing, insulation, drywall and a vapour barrier into a R16 high performance wall panel. So after the Patch Pro has been applied and sanded, the panels are ready to be painted. Yes. The SMARTWALLS are now ready to paint!
Can you build a wall on top of DRIcore?
DRIcore® panels can be installed where there is an existing wall frame or a concrete foundation wall. Where only a concrete foundation exists, it is best to install wall framing directly on top of DRIcore® panels to elevate the floor and wall framing away from direct contact of potentially damp concrete.
Can you nail into DRIcore?
FASTENING PANELS TO CONCRETE Remember that DRIcore must be installed as a floating floor. Normally it is not recommended to nail, glue or screw DRIcore panels to the concrete surface. In some instances, we suggest minimal fastening of the panels to the concrete surface.
Can you frame over Dricore?
An interior stud wall can be set right on top of your new DRICORE® subfloor and is in fact, the preferred method of installation. Install your 2X4 frame directly on top of the subfloor, measuring for a “snug” fit between the subfloor and ceiling.
