Do you have to wear a mask at the Maryland Renaissance Festival?
While guests and employees are not required to wear masks outdoors, consistent with CDC guidance, we recommend masks at all times, including while outdoors, for those unvaccinated. Independently owned shops and attractions may establish their own mask and capacity requirements that must be followed.

Is the Renaissance Faire cash only?
Our food and drink booths are cash only. Each vendor on-site creates their own policy regarding credit cards (although most of them do accept cards nowadays). ATMs are located throughout the site for your convenience.
Can I bring my dog to the Maryland Renaissance Festival?
No. While we’re an outdoor event, we do not allow pet animals into the festival grounds.
How do I get to the Crownsville Music Festival?
Follow Crownsville Road for 1-1/2 miles and the Festival is on the left. At the light, turn left and then left again at the next light on Route 450 West. Go 3 miles and turn right at the second light on to Crownsville Road. Follow Crownsville Road for 1/2 mile and the Festival is on the right.
Where do I Park for the Maryland Renaissance Festival?
The Maryland Renaissance Festival is located on Crownsville Road, in Anne Arundel County in Crownsville, just outside of Annapolis, MD. Handicapped parking is available next to our Main Gate. When entering the parking lot, follow the signs to the designated handicapped parking area.
Is the Renn Fest really that bad?
The Renn Fest was worse. Much worse.) That’s all more the shame because the festival itself is actually nice- fun performers, interesting stuff for sale, pretty wooded site (though almost no covered space anywhere if it rains). But, oh, the humanity. The fest’s popularity is definitely its downfall.
