The Binns Track is an epic four-wheel drive adventure that takes you through spectacular scenery allowing you to explore some of the lesser-known sights of Central Australia and the grandeur of big rivers in northern NT.

Is the Simpson Desert Open?
The Simpson Desert Regional Reserve and Conservation Park has only recently re-opened. Since the summer of 2008/09 the park has been closed during the summer months due to the high risk of vehicles becoming bogged or breaking down in extreme temperatures.
Is the Tanami track suitable for caravans?
It is recommended nonetheless for 4WD vehicles, and not for onroad caravans or trailers. The road, which is sometimes closed after rain, can still be rough and corrugated and is generally best travelled between May and October.

The Madigan Line runs from north east of Old Andado Station then east across to Adria Downs Station before turning south down to the QAA Line. From there it is east to Birdsville via Big Red. CAMPING: Most of the Madigan Camps have cleared space for camping.
