Build in optimal conditions. Constructing your snow fort when the temperature is consistently low will help it last longer. Construction on the Kemi SnowCastle begins when the temperature falls to at least -7 degrees Celsius (19.4 degrees Fahrenheit).
How do you freeze a snow fort?
The additive or snow/ice block method Fill two litre milk cartons (or buckets or boxes) with water or wet snow, add food colouring and freeze. Take the blocks out of the containers.
