How do you get around Falls Creek?
To help you get around, there are some convenient walkways that link the roads.

Can you drive into Falls Creek?
The Falls Creek village roads are open to vehicles and there is no Resort Entry charge: parking your car in the day car parks or at your accommodation overnight is free. The drive from Mt Beauty to Falls Creek is very popular with cyclists in the warmer months.
Can you sleep in your car at Falls Creek?
Vehicles staying overnight (or for a number of days) must be parked in specified overnight parking areas. Visitors must drive to the Accommodation Transfer Terminal and look for signage indicating “Overnight Parking Here”.
Do you need chains to drive to Falls Creek?
YES YOU DO! Snow chains are a legal requirement for ALL vehicles entering Falls Creek alpine resort. All vehicles (including 2WD & 4WD) must carry a pair of snow chains even when the roads are clear during the declared snow season.
Can you walk around Falls Creek?
Falls Creek’s walking and hiking trails are second to none, exposing you to the beauty and majesty of the Bogong High Plains. There are a variety of walks to enjoy, from an easy 1/2 hour stroll to scenic vantage points to more challenging day or overnight hikes.
Is there a bus from bright to Falls Creek?
There is no direct connection from Bright to Falls Creek. However, you can take the bus to Falls Creek Coaches/233 Kiewa Valley Hwy then take the taxi to Falls Creek. Alternatively, you can take the taxi to Falls Creek.
Can Victorians travel to Falls Creek?

Does Mt Beauty snow?
You do get snow at Mt Beauty but it has to be very cold and it has to snow to very low altitudes. You won’t need chains for Mt Beauty but you will need them if you progress on to Falls. It is more likely to rain in Mt Beauty than snow.
Where do you stop on way to Falls Creek?
The closest town to Falls Creek is Mount Beauty. This is where the last fuel stop is before so make sure you fill up. You can also hire chains from a number of businesses here. The drive from Mt Beauty is 30km and takes anywhere from 40min to 1hr depending on traffic and conditions.

Are the roads in Falls Creek closed to vehicles?
From 5pm Thursday 24 June until 12pm Monday 6 September 2021, all roads in the Falls Creek village are closed to vehicle traffic. Outside of the snow season the village may also remain closed to vehicles if there is significant snow cover – check the Village Road Conditions status on the snow report for the current status.
Do I need transport to get to Falls Creek Resort?
You’ll need Transport. As Falls Creek Resort allows people to ski in and ski out of their accommodation and along the village roads, no outside vehicles are permitted access to the village. This includes Falls Creek Coach Service vehicles, therefore our service terminates or picks up from the Falls Creek Accommodation Transfer Service depot.
Is Falls Creek open for ATS?
Accommodation Transfer Service (ATS) From 27 June to 9 September inclusive, Falls Creek village is closed to vehicles as part of our unique ski-in, ski-out environment. Outside of these dates the Village may remain closed to vehicles if there is significant snow cover.
