Can you switch from Xcel to Jo?
There is no direct mobility from Xcel levels into the Jr Olympic Levels. Even if a gymnast has competed all the way through Diamond in the Xcel divisions, which would be similar to a level 7, in order to compete at level 7 she must pass out of levels 4 (the lowest required competitive level) , 5 and 6.
What score do you need to qualify for regionals?
Athletes qualify to the State Championships by earning a 32.0 or higher All Around score at any sanctioned USAG competition in the United States. At the State meet the athlete must score a 34.00AA to qualify to Regionals. At Regionals, the top 7 athletes in each age group will advance to Nationals.
Where do you go after regionals?
These competitions start at the Regional level. Successful competitors from Regional competition advance to Sectional level competition, and then to US Nationals or Junior Olympic competition (see the page on Competitive Qualification Requirements for details on who may advance from each level).
