- Bring a pair of practice shorts (not baggy, and an appropriate length), and a form fitting tee or tank.
- Wear clean, white, indoor performance shoes that are designed for cheerleaders.
- Don’t forget to bring a sports bra to change into before your audition.

Why are cheerleader skirts so short?
The answer is freedom of movement. The very short skirts worn by cheerleaders allow them to perform the actions and acrobatics required by their routine without the restrictions that a longer skirt would impose. It also makes them look stunning as well!
Can you be a tall flyer in cheerleading?
Yes, your height and weight could work for a flyer. But your coach may have you as a base because it would be a waste to put someone who could easily base as a flyer. She may recognize you as having strength others don’t, and hey, it’s pretty cool to say you can lift a person!
