Symptoms associated with ingested overdose of benzydamine are mainly gastrointestinal symptoms and symptoms of the central nervous system. Most frequent gastrointestinal symptoms are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and oesophageal irritation.
How do you use Difflam Forte?
Dosage: Use the long nozzle to direct spray onto the affected area for relief of painful conditions of the mouth or throat. Adults: Spray 2-4 sprays directly onto the sore/inflamed area (and swallow gently). Repeat every 1.5 hours to 3 hours as necessary.

In adults and children over 6 years of age: Suck one lozenges when required every one to two hours. Each lozenges will work up to three hours. Do not exceed 12 lozenges a day. Do not take Difflam Sugar-Free Lozenges continuously for more than seven days.

Can you swallow throat spray?

Care should be taken when consuming hot food or drink following use of Difflam Anaesthetic, Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory Lozenges, as the local anaesthetic may dull the sensation of heat and pain. It is recommended to avoid hot food or drink for one to two hours following use.
Can you swallow Difflam lozenges?
Do not swallow. Do not chew. Difflam should not be used for more than 7 days. If after using the lozenges your throat gets worse or does not feel better, speak to your pharmacist or doctor.
