Is the Legal Ombudsman free?
The Legal Ombudsman is an ombudsman service that opened in October 2010. It is a free service that investigates complaints about lawyers in England and Wales.
Does the Legal Ombudsman charge a fee?
The OLC must set a structure for a case fee that lawyers who use the Legal Ombudsman will be charged. A case fee is payable unless a complaint is resolved in favour of a lawyer and if the Ombudsman is satisfied that the lawyer took all reasonable steps to try and resolve the complaint.
