What is an off-cycle payment?
Off-cycle payments, or “off cycles”, occur when payments are processed outside of the regular payroll cycle. Off cycles will be processed two business days after each pay date, which positions payroll to react in a timely manner to inquiries of incorrect pay that employees just received.
What does Second penultimate year mean?
Penultimate is not a special pen… it means second last year of your degree (i.e. before you graduate!). Many companies often require applicants to be in your penultimate year.
What is the difference between ultimate and penultimate?
People confuse penultimate and ultimate believing the prefix “pen-” simply adds more emphasis to the word “ultimate.” This is not the case, the “pen-‘ prefix means “almost” and thus “penultimate” means “next to last.” “Ultimate” is a much more flexible word that can be “last,” “fundamental,” “utmost,” and more.
