Is ourimbah Library open?
Libraries remain open over the long weekend with the exception of Sydney and Port Macquarie campuses, please check the Library hours for dates and times of all our Libraries. Our 24 Hours spaces at the Auchmuty, Ourimbah and City Libraries remain open.
How many libraries are at UON?
The University of Newcastle provides library services at six campuses and a number of affiliate locations. There are 24 hour study spaces available at Auchmuty Library, Ourimbah Library and NUspace. Our aim is to provide our students with welcoming places where students can come to meet, read, study and learn.
Is the Library open UON?
For the moment, NUspace including the Library remains closed. Ourimbah or Auchmuty are available as pick up points for Click and Collect of NUspace Library items. To keep our community safe, please check in to the buildings, face masks are required inside and follow social distancing requirements.

The Auchmuty Library and Information Commons, built in the 1960s, sits at the heart of the Callaghan Campus. It provides a range of study spaces, services, and information resources to support students and researchers.

Yes. Students and staff can access the building 24/7. Given the current COVID situation, swipe card access is required at all times.

What is the Ourimbah library?
The Ourimbah Library at the Central Coast campus (Ourimbah) provides services to both Ourimbah TAFE NSW and University of Newcastle staff and students. Functioning as a multi-sector library allows our users access to a variety of resources provided by both the University and TAFE NSW.
Where is the Ourimbah Parent Room located?
The Ourimbah Parent Room is located on level 2 in room A2.39. This room provides infant care facilities for feeding and nappy changing. Ourimbah Library: 24 hour spaces may require swipe access outside opening hours.
Is Ourimbah TAFE available to staff and students?
Unless stated otherwise, our services and resources are available for both Ourimbah TAFE and University of Newcastle staff and students.
