The Nambe Waterfalls and Lake Recreation Area will be opening for 2021 Season. The Nambe Waterfalls and Lake Recreation Area is scheduled to open up to the public on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 7:00 a.m. Hours of operation will be Thursdays through Sundays 7a.

What is there to do in Nambé?
Right above the waterfall, one can see the dam of Nambé Lake where boating and fishing is available certain times of the year; be sure to call in advance. There are also facilities for BBQ picnics, large gatherings, and camping. On our way out, we drove through the pueblo which happens to be the smallest pueblo I have seen so far; not much to see.

It is just a couple of streets past Buffalo Thunder resort and then 8 miles up the trail to the ranger station. Nambe offers many great campsites, from pulling right up next to the creek and pitching your tent amidst all the lush green landscape, to being closer to amenities on the other side of the creek closer to the waterfall.
