Is Broadcasting House open to the public?
As of 30th April 2016, the BBC no longer offers tours of the Broadcasting House. However, the BBC Shop and Media Cafe’ is still open to the public. The cafe’ overlooks the BBC Newsroom which means you can still see where all the action happens!
What happened to Broadcasting House?
As part of a major consolidation of the BBC’s property portfolio in London, Broadcasting House has been extensively renovated and extended. This involved the demolition of post-war extensions on the eastern side of the building, replaced by a new wing completed in 2005.

What happened to television Centre?
The building closed on 31 March 2013 and was redeveloped to include flats, office space, a cinema and hotels. Studios 1, 2 and 3 along with part of the basement and offices have been refurbished and leased back to the BBC on a 15-year lease.
