Is it possible to save Matt in until dawn?
Matt has a choice about saving Emily or jumping to safety. Matt survives if he jumps to safety. If he tries to save Emily twice, she falls anyway, and Matt is tossed to a landing.
Should I give Matt the flare gun?
If he has the flare, he will remember it and aim it behind him. Successfully shooting the flare will cause the Wendigo to flee, and Matt will still be alive. Not having the usable flare gun, or missing the shot, will result in Matt’s death.
Can Jess survive if Matt dies?
If he moves, they will both die. If he successfully stayed still, Matt and Jessica have survived until dawn. They will look up and see the lodge in the distance as light is beginning to break over the horizon. If Matt had been killed in Chapter 6, Jessica will wander through the mines alone.

If Matt catches Emily, she will thank him and suggest that he go first. Matt will reassure Emily that she won’t fall until the end of the edge. If he fails, he will have to pull her back up or not help her up at all. She will go first the rest of the way in silence.

However, if you do not want Matt to waste the flare gun, you must disagree with Emily when she says to go to the tower.
Should Matt and Jess run or hide?
If Matt chooses to run ahead, the Wendigo will catch up to Jessica and rip off her jaw while Matt continues to run. If Matt chooses to hide, they will avoid the Wendigo and continue moving.
How do you save Matt from Wendigo?
If Emily gave Matt the flare gun and Matt didn’t already use it, he can shoot the Wendigo with it. Doing so will result in the Wendigo frantically running away. Otherwise, the Wendigo will hang Matt through his jaw on a hook and leave him to his death.
What happens if you let Hannah go in Until Dawn?
Beth does have the option of dropping Hannah whilst they are hanging off a cliff edge to save herself, though if she chooses this option, she will apologize and appear distressed.
