akinika Debt Recovery Limited is a licensed debt collection agency that is authorised to collect payments on behalf of TV Licensing. It is the only debt collection agency we use. It is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for accounts formed under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (amended 2006).
What happens when my TV license expires?
Provided payment has been received, a TV Licence is valid until the expiry date shown on it. For example, if you buy a licence today it will cover you for up to 12 months – the rest of this month and 11 months after that. Then if you renew your licence on time next year it will run for a full year.
