What is the description of patch pocket?
Patch Pockets are created by attaching a pre-cut pieces of material and sewing them, like a patch, to the outside of a garment, instead of constructing inset pockets. Often patch pockets have a flap at the top and become a feature of the design — think the patch pockets on Paddington Bear’s duffle coat.
What are functional pockets?
Functional pockets are usually sewn shut with a single thread. If you cut it and tug, it should unravel easily. If the stitching is hard to remove, it’s probably not a real pocket. Whatever suits you!
What is a bellow pocket?

What are pockets with flaps called?

What material is used for pockets?

How do you make a simple pocket patch?

- draft your pocket as illustrated.
- cut out your pocket.
- fold the top of the pocket down on your 1 ¼” mark line(right side to right side)
- turn up ¼” seam on both pocket sides.
- stitch turned up pocket corners as illustrated.
- snip out pocket corners on both sides.
- turn the pocket top edge over to the right side.
What is a pouch pocket?
