How do you beat EDH with ad nauseam?
Playing the Deck:
- Use Tutor: Ramp up a bit. Any tutor for Ad Nauseam is fine. Sidisi is our backup in case we don’t have any others.
- Cast Ad Nauseam: Doing this during opponent’s end step is fine. Draw your entire deck.
- Win: Win with either Sickening Dreams, Tendrils of Agony, or Exsanguinate.
What’s the difference between legacy and modern?
Modern = All sets that were Standard-legal (at the time) from 8th edition onwards (that’s mid-2003 onwards). Legacy = All sets, including supplemental sets (but not gold/silver bordered cards).
What is a farm deck Cedh?
Farm decks are a subset of Turbo Ad Nauseam decks. Farm was a name originally given to a deck named MAD Farm led by Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder and Tymna the Weaver. The name came from the partner pair being descriped as a Farm where Bruse herds, and butchering the herd for resources while Tymna weaved.
Is Legacy MTG dead?
Legacy is dead. Well, that’s what they say at least. The notion that Legacy is a dying format has been around for several years (and was even echoed by people when I got into the format roughly 5 years ago)….

Is Black Lotus banned in Legacy?
The “Black Lotus” card can be played at zero cost, and grants three mana (the game’s primary resource) when sacrificed (discarded from play). It has since been banned from all official tournament formats save for Vintage, but even there, it is limited to one copy per deck, compared to the normal allowance of four.
Why is frantic banned in Legacy?
Frantic Search is banned because in the right deck(s) it offers the switching of card quality and untaps lands. If you can make it cost less you can untap more than you put in to playing this spell. In some vintage decks, Tolarian Academy,which produces excessive amounts of blue mana, is untapped with this.
What are the best matchups for ad nauseam in EDH?
Scapeshift is another great matchup. Game 1, if they ever attempt to combo, you can simply Angel’s Grace after letting Scapeshift resolve. Then, all of their lands are tapped and you can cast Ad Nauseam at your leisure during their end step.
Why is Ad Nauseam so bad in modern?
In Modern, every deck has a really bad matchup, and this is Ad Nauseam’s. Outside of an early Karn Liberated, they really don’t have any meaningful ways to interact with you. Slaughter Pact comes in for Spellskite, although you can usually win through Spellskite anyway.
Is spoils of the vault the Best Ad Nauseam?
There are a few variants of Ad Nauseam and I firmly believe Spoils of the Vault is the best version. It has the fastest kill speed as you have an effective 7 Ad Nauseams in your deck, and it can work as a cantrip when you know the top card or dig for an Angel’s Grace or Pact of Negation in a pinch.
