Is CityFHEPS and Fheps the same?
CityFHEPS is a rent subsidy program administered by NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) for households not eligible for State FHEPS who are in shelter or at risk of entering shelter and income is at 200% FPL.
Can you move with Fheps?
FHEPS can be used to remain in your home, to move within New York City, or to move out of shelter if you have already lost your home. If you qualify for FHEPS, part of your rent is covered by a FHEPS supplement paid directly to your landlord.
Can you use Cityfeps in NJ?
Yes. Shelter staff will need to conduct a walkthrough of the apartment as they do under CITYFEPS within New York City limits and neighboring New York State and New Jersey counties.

What is the SOTA program?
The SOTA Program helps individuals experiencing homeless move into an apartment in NYC or elsewhere by paying one year’s rent up front to the landlord. To be eligible for the program, individuals or families must live in a shelter for at least 90 days and maintain employment.
How much is CityFHEPS?
The maximum rent that CityFHEPS will allow is $1,424 per month. A single room in an apartment is available to a household of no more than two adults. The maximum rent that CityFHEPS will allow is $800 per month.
What is Feps voucher?
The CITYFEPS Rent Supplement Program can help eligible families with children at risk of entry to shelter and those already in shelter to secure permanent housing. The number of households that can be approved to receive the CITYFEPS Rent Supplement will be limited due to available funding.
