How does Pitlock work?
Pitlock is a complete system of skewers and bolts for many of the expensive components of your bicycle. For example, your wheels are generally held onto your bike with quick release skewers. If you leave your bike unattended with just the frame locked, it takes only seconds for a thief to steal your wheels.

To install a set of Pitlocks, follow these steps:
- Remove the existing 5mm quick release skewer.
- Grease the Pitlock skewer.
- Insert the skewer into the bike’s dropouts.
- Add the pressure washer.
- Add the lock housing.
- Add the teflon ring.
- Add the spring washer.
- Add the locking nut.
How do you open a Pitlock?
How Do I Open a Pitlock Correctly? Place the correct Pit key on the coded nut. Then press the Pit key while unscrewing it at the same time. This will unlock the spring washer from the grooves of the coded nut.
How does Hexlox key work?
How does Hexlox work? The basic idea is that anything that’s attached to your bike using a hex key (also known as an Allen key) can be secured with a Hexlox. Each individual Hexlox is just a tiny hexagonal nut that slots into (and blocks) the socket in the head of the screw that attaches all that stuff to your bike.
What size thru axle do I have?
For a front thru-axle, this is measured from the inside to inside of your fork. For a rear thru-axle, this is measured from the inside to inside of your frame at the drop-outs. The O.L.D. measurement is listed for many thru-axles, but isn’t necessary if you know the overall length.
