What is FCEUX EXE?

FCEUX is an open-source Nintendo Entertainment System and Family Computer Disk System emulator. It is a merger of various forks of FCE Ultra.

Setting up the keyboard or gamepad

  1. Go to Config > Input:
  2. On this screen: “Port 1” is Player 1 and “Port 2” is Player 2. Click on Configure for Port 1.
  3. You’ll arrive at the window where you can change any of the player buttons. Focus on the box titled “Virtual Gamepad 1”: Click on the button you want to reconfigure.

Why is FCEUX lagging?

FCEUX may not run well on slow CPUs. Ensure that you’re using the Old PPU, because the New PPU engine is very slow. Check Config -> PPU -> Old PPU. If you enable hardware acceleration and Vsync (Wait for VBlank), and your monitor has a framerate different from 60FPS, you may experience minor sound cracle.

How do I use a controller with Fceux?

To use this feature, close the input config window and return to the FCEUX main window. Hold down the auto-hold hotkey and press one of your controller inputs. This will add it as one of the auto-hold assignments. The game will keep auto-hold assigned buttons held be default.

How do I access download?

You can find your downloads on your Android device in your My Files app (called File Manager on some phones), which you can find in the device’s App Drawer. Unlike iPhone, app downloads are not stored on the home screen of your Android device, and can be found with an upward swipe on the home screen.

How do I enable installation?

For Android 8 and above

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings.
  2. Go to Security & privacy > More settings.
  3. Tap on Install apps from external sources.
  4. Select the browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox) you want to download the APK files from.
  5. Toggle Allow app installs on.
