When does Irvine-Gass syndrome occur?
Cystoid macular edema developing following cataract sur- gery is also called Irvine-Gass syndrome. The frequency is described as being between 7 and 70% depending on the definition of the syndrome, and occurs usually 2–3 months after surgery.
