What do brownies wear UK?
At international events, Brownies can wear the UK international neckerchief along with, or instead of, a national neckerchief for Girlguiding Cymru, Scotland or Ulster.
What uniform do brownies need?
Brownies have the option of a brown sash or vest. In addition to the standard white shirt and khaki pants or skirt option for formal events, Brownies may choose to wear a full uniform ensemble. This includes a Brownie shirt, beanie, tie, skort, and socks or tights.
Do girl guides wear uniforms?
No girl is excluded from guiding because she does not have the right clothing, so uniform is never compulsory. In some areas, you can borrow or buy second-hand uniform. Ask your daughter’s unit leader for details.

What age is brownies for?
Brownies are the section in the Girl Guides (or in the United States, Girl Scouts) organization for girls aged seven years old to ten years old. Exact age limits are slightly different in each organization.
Do you pay for brownies?
Subscriptions, or ‘subs’, cover the costs of equipment, activities and hiring the meeting place. These can be paid weekly, monthly or each term. There is also an annual subscription paid by all members that covers the day-to-day running of the charity and your local guiding area.
