Auto Train is an 855-mile-long (1,376 km) scheduled daily train service for passengers and their automobiles operated by Amtrak between Lorton, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Florida (near Orlando). The train has a maximum capacity of 320 vehicles. The train also includes lounge cars and dining cars.
What time should I be at the Auto Train?
On the day of your departure, check-in begins at 11:30 am. Motorcycles and special vehicles must be checked in by 2 pm. All other vehicles must be checked in by 2:30 pm. No exceptions will be provided.
Can you stay in your car on the Auto Train?
