What is a petainer?
Petainer is a fully-recyclable, sustainable “one-trip” keg, made mostly from Polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Working alongside supply partner KHS, Petainer can provide total packaging systems solutions which include equipment for conveying, handling and filling kegs.
How do you open a Petainer keg?
Push the dispensing head into the ‘open’ fitting. Hold the fitting with one hand, and with the other, turn the dispensing head clockwise until it stops. Keep hold of the dispensing head, release the keg and push down the dispensing head handle. The keg is ready to dispense.
What is PET keg?
Petainer one-way PET kegs are a lightweight alternative to steel and can be filled with a variety of beverages such as beer, cider, wine, cold brew coffee, juice, kombucha and cocktails.
Are PET kegs recyclable?
100% Recyclable & One-Way PET plastic kegs are also one-way. This means that there’s no need to return them, unlike metal kegs. You can just empty the keg and recycle it when you’re finished!
How do you fill a keg with wine?
To fill your keg with wine, affix the lid on the (empty) keg and open the valve on the top of the nitrogen tank. Let the keg fill with nitrogen and look at the gauge pressure. If the pressure is below 3–4 PSI, turn the regulator valve until the pressure increases to this value.
What is a key keg coupler?
The keg coupler connects to the keg valve, “tapping” the keg. Both the gas line from the CO2 tank / regulator and the beer hose to the beer faucet attach to the coupler.
