Can the Accessport measure HP?
Using a complex algorithm originally derived from a SAE paper we referenced, the AccessPORT can datalog key parameters from your ECU as you drive to determine peak HP and Torque (at the wheels). …
Does a Cobb Accessport add horsepower?
Stage 1 and Stage 1+BigSF map produces peak gains of +14% HP / +13% TQ over stock and maximum gains of +98% HP / +98%TQ over stock when using 93 octane fuel. Stage 2 and Stage2+BigSF produce peak gains of +19%HP / +40% TQ over stock and maximum gains of +110% HP / +110% TQ over stock when using 93 octane fuel.
How much HP does an Accessport add?
Peak numbers are up 3% HP and 20 % TQ. The Stage 2 OTS map will provide an additional bump in power, seeing maximum gains of 29% HP and 34% TQ over stock. Peak gains are up 3.5% HP and 29% TQ over an unmodified car. More information regarding COBB Off The Shelf Maps can be found on the Map Notes Page.
How accurate is the Cobb Accessport estimated horsepower?
COBB estimates were 4.5% lower HP and 4% lower Torque from the V-Dyno results.
Can a Cobb Accessport work on any car?
Each Accessport is only compatible with certain vehicles. With many platforms, it can even be specific vehicles through specific model year ranges. Simply visit cobbtuning.com and configure your vehicle at the top of the page and click “view products.” You will then see all compatible parts.
How accurate is a virtual dyno?
Not very accurate. A small factor in the configuration of the software can impact the result of the power numbers by a huge amount. Generally most properly functioning dynojets read within 5% of each other. We have seen some variances of up to 10-15% between dynojet results and other manufacturers dynos.
How does the Cobb Accessport work?
The Cobb AccessPort unleashes a continuous bombardment of information. The screen can be setup to display 6 live engine statistics with each showing min/max figures. This is just the surface; with the touch of a button, it’ll begin recording a variety of parameters of your choosing. That’s a lot of information that was previously inaccessible.
How accurate is V-Dyno?
Let V-Dyno crunch the numbers, and have a printout that your car is actually making 347WHP! If the datalogs you take are consistent (as described later in the article) and you setup your car’s parameters correctly, Vdyno can be very accurate and repeatable and we have correlated our results to in-ground dyno data. So how does it all work?
How to use vdyno AP?
First, the AP has to be setup to record all the useful parameters. For Vdyno you need to log at least AFR, Accelerator Pedal Position, Boost Pressure, and RPM. You can log others as well, but these are the ones that are used in the calculation. Then, while driving make sure you are in the Gauges screen.
