For beginners and experienced riders, plan to join us for a fun morning horseback ride at Latta Plantation! We will be guided through the trails by one of the Latta Staff and the ride will last about an hour. Don’t forget to wear comfortable pants (with some stretch to saddleup)for riding to avoid chaffing.

About: The Latta Plantation Nature Preserve is a tucked away gem of an outdoors oasis in the city. It includes 16 miles of trails that interconnect providing a variety of terrain options. Unless you are looking for a family friendly mountain biking trail I’d look elsewhere; bikes are allowed on the paved paths only.

How long does it take to walk the Latta Plantation trail?
The Latta Plantation runs this event the Friday and Saturday before Halloween only. We arrived at around 7:45pm and we didn’t start the trail walk until 9:00pm. The walk itself took about 10-15 minutes to get through. The experience was part historical reenactment and part haunted house.
