After the final fight against Father, Ed brings back Alphonse’s body back to the real world by sacrificing his alchemy skill in exchange. After Al gets his body back, he slowly recovers on his own. Ed’s body no longer has to grow or eat for both, and so, Ed starts to grow taller.
