Does homeschool curriculum need to be accredited?
In a nutshell: Homeschool accreditation is not required. No state requires that a homeschool program, curriculum, or diploma be accredited (in fact, homeschool curriculum can’t be accredited!). Many families come to homeschooling from the public school system.

Is Khan Academy accredited for homeschooling?
Khan Academy is not an accredited school and work done on the site does not count towards a diploma or degree program. Khan Academy is best used as a supplement to your normal schooling, whether that is homeschooling or a traditional school.
Is IXL homeschool accredited?
While we offer memberships for online practice that are widely used by teachers and homeschool parents to support their teaching, we are not an accredited school and are not authorized to verify or issue school credits. Completing skills on IXL will not equate to proof of grade completion or transcripts.
Do homeschool parents get paid?

Can I claim benefits if I homeschool my child?
Ok let’s get this answered straight away- homeschooling in itself does not affect your financial or benefits status in any way. If you are claiming benefits and you begin homeschooling your child, legally nothing changes at all. You will be entitled to the same benefits- no more, no less.

Is home schooling accredited?
There is no state accreditation available for home schooling academies. In most cases, state accreditation requires certified teachers, on-site schools, a certain amount of books in the library, and a certain amount of students in the school.
