How do I activate my MagicBand?
At the very bottom of the MagicBands page you’ll see the “Link” option. Select “MagicBand” on the next page and then enter your new MagicBand ID number located on the inside of your MagicBand. You can also follow this link to go directly to the MagicBand link page. Voila!
Can you reassign a Disney MagicBand?
No. Your MagicBand or card is unique to you and only you are authorized to access the benefits associated with it—including linked tickets, touch-to-pay purchases and other entitlements. Once a MagicBand or card is linked to your Disney account, it cannot be transferred to another person.
Are MagicBands only for resort guests?
Magic Bands were provided to every guest staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel at no additional charge through the end of 2020. Starting in 2021, guests can purchase a Magic Band if they want to use one during their stay.
Are MagicBands automatically linked?
If you have a resort reservation your MagicBands are automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account. If you have purchased a MagicBand at a retail location, there are two ways to link your new MagicBand to your account. Now your MagicBand is ready for use!
What MagicBands are currently available?
The basic, solid color MagicBands come in a variety of colors: pink, blue, red, green, orange, gray, purple, and yellow. You can choose which color you prefer when you order them in your My Disney Experience (MDE) account. (The complimentary service will end with trips in January 2021.)
Can someone else use my MagicBand 2020?
The MagicBands are uniquely personal and only the original intended user is authorized to access the tickets and other benefits and privileges like FastPass, purchasing options, and dining entitlements. The minute a MagicBand is linked to your account it cannot be transferred to another person.
Can you get a MagicBand without staying at a resort?
Even if you are not staying at a Disney resort, you can – and should – purchase a MagicBand. They’re available at a variety of price points, based on the customization you choose. MagicBands can be linked to your park tickets (purchased separately) through the My Disney Experience app.
How do you use a Magic Band at Disney World?
Use it to enter the parks, unlock your Disney Resort hotel room and buy food and merchandise. MagicBands add a touch of magic to your vacation by unlocking special surprises, personalized just for you, throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you’ve linked your MagicBand, you don’t need to do anything different.
How do I link my Magic Band to my annual pass?
Your Choice of MagicBands 1 Create or sign into your Disney account. 2 Link your annual pass to your Disney account. Your pass may have been linked automatically when you purchased it on disneyworld.com. 3 Activate your pass at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window or Disney Springs Guest Relations location.
When should I place my order for my MagicBand?

How do the MagicBands and PhotoPass cards work?
Both MagicBands and cards allow you to travel lighter throughout your vacation. Unlock the door of your Disney Resort hotel room. Enter theme and water parks (with valid admission). Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account. Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).
