How do I use Chirp to program?
Basic Procedure for Programming
- Start CHIRP and Click the Radio menu and choose Download From Radio.
- The Clone window opens.
- Select the serial port you intend to use from the drop down menu.
- Select the correct Vendor and (if necessary) the appropriate Model.
- Click OK to start the download process.
How do I reset my Baofeng BF f8hp?

- Turn on the radio and press the MENU button.
- Press the UP and DOWN arrow key to select RESET (Menu Item 40).
- Press MENU to choose RESET.
- Press the DOWN arrow key to choose ALL.

What operating systems are supported by CHIRP?
CHIRP is supported on Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8.1/10 Windows XP users may need to follow the instructions here if you have trouble starting CHIRP. MacOS users must install the KK7DS Python runtime before the application will execute. This only needs to be installed once. OS X support is limited to Intel architecture. PowerPC is not supported.

Does chirp work on MacOS X?
OS X support is limited to Intel architecture. PowerPC is not supported. Chirp.app is unsigned. Most modern distributions should have almost everything required to run chirp.
