Nexus using Android 8.1 & up
- On your new Nexus phone, tap Start. If you don’t see “Start,” open your Settings app and tap Finish setup.
- Under “Bring your data from,” tap OK.
- Connect both of your phones to a Wi-Fi network.
- On your old Android phone:
- Both phones will get a “Verify code” notification.
Is NEXUS same as Global Entry?
Nexus is administered by Canada and has separate clearance criteria. However, the result is the same as Global Entry: expedited passage. If you are a member of Nexus you now have Global Entry privileges just as if you had registered in the U.S. for that CBP program.

Do I need both NEXUS and Global Entry?
There are no additional requirements for a member to use the NEXUS lanes coming into the U.S. However, Global Entry cards are not valid for entry into Canada via the NEXUS lanes and kiosks; travelers must apply separately for NEXUS.
