How to Adjust Thule Feet
- Unlock the tensioning lever if your rack is equipped with the optional lock.
- Decide which bar you want to work on first.
- Lift the tensioning lever on both sides of the bar that you will work on first.
- Slide each foot forward or backward as needed, based on your adjustment preferences.
How far should crossbars be apart?
According to Rhino Rack, the crossbars should be spaced 27-9/16 inches apart, center on center as shown in the provided diagram. Rhino rack chooses the specific mounting points for the crossbars based on where the strongest points of the roof are located.
How far apart should crossbars be for kayak?
Most kayak carriers, like part # TH834 require at least 24 inches crossbar spread. I recommend making sure you have at least the 24 inches for a spread but I would probably place them about 28 inches apart.

Will a Thule Yeti fit on an Octavia 757?
The suggestion for the Yeti on the Thule website fits a broader range of roof bar thicknesses, but I feel the Yeti is near enough the same thickness as the Octavia to make little difference. More sharing options… The yeti roof rails are too deep for the 757 clamps, they won’t fit.
