- Wait 10 minutes (this wait time is essential to kill any possible contaminants)
- Wipe stones down with a clean cloth.
- Inspect for pitting, and sand any rough areas.
- Cover with clean towel.
How do you clean rock salt?
First, vacuum up and excess salt crystals and dirt. Then, mix about one part ordinary dishwashing soap with four parts of very warm water. Dab at salt stains with your solution. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a towel or clean rag.
