How long does it take a Cal Spa to heat up?
If your hot tub is located inside, and the air temp is around 76 degrees, it will take about 4 hours to heat up your spa to 100 degrees. The lower the outside temps the longer you will have to wait before your spa is ready. Therefore, by leaving the cover on while it’s heating up you can help it warm up faster.

We always recommend keeping the temperature at 38°C, not only will this keep you warm, it also helps to protect your hot tub as the heat generated stops your power pack from freezing over. Make sure to always keep the cover on when you’re not using it, so the heat doesn’t escape.
How far do you fill up a hot tub?
Look for the hot tub filter, normally located on the side of the tub. Fill the hot tub with water to about 2 to 3 inches above the top of the filter. Do not fill the hot tub above this level. As the jets are turned on and people get inside the hot tub, the water level will naturally rise.
How do you fill a Cal Spa hot tub?
Fill the spa. Place a garden hose in the filter canister and fill your spa with regular tap water about six inches from the top. If the water level is too low or too high, your spa will not operate properly. Always fill the spa through the filter canister!
