What age can you join RFS?
The joining age for Cadet Brigades may vary depending on the area, commencing at 12 years of age. Young people can remain in a Cadet Brigade up to the age of 18, when they can apply to transfer to an ordinary brigade if they wish.

Training qualifications which provide specialised skills and knowledge in preparation for providing expert and strategic direction across multiple large incidents or campaigns. The NSW RFS promotes and supports a flexible, blended approach to learning.
What are the requirements to get a heavy vehicle licence?
Eligibility for heavy vehicle licences LR and MR, you need to have held a class C licence or equivalent for one year or more for a heavy vehicle HR licence, you need to have held a class C licence or equivalent for 2 years or more for a heavy vehicle HC licence, you need to have held a class MR or HR licence or equivalent for one year or more.
