How long do recessed LED lights last?
Recessed light can last up to 50,000 hours approx 5 and half years but, this number can change depending on the quality of your bulb and the environment. Ceiling fixtures are in cramped places so ensure there is enough airflow so your bulb will remain cool.
Do Canless LED lights get hot?
Answer: While LEDs run much cooler than incandescents, their electronic components and external heat sinks do get quite hot; you would still need to keep the insulation away from your fixtures. You could hire an electrician to replace each fixture with a sealed one rated for insulation contact (IC).
Can LED bulbs be used in recessed lighting?
This option is by far the simplest. Just unscrew that old incandescent or halogen light bulb and replace it with an LED lamp. Depending on the size of your recessed can, you can use LED reflector lamps or A lamps.
