How much HP can a stage 4 transmission handle?
For the original poster, the stage four should be able to handle somewhere around 650-700HP. The weak point you have will be the factory output shaft, which can break under hard use conditions from around 650~, usually with a boosted launch or a big shock load.

Max “reliable” HP I would go is 400rwhp. Anything from stock is a risk of breaking somthing. Ive seen rods bend before headgaskets blow. Generally, rods are good to 500-550, IMO, pretty much anything over 500 is taking a risk of bending.

How much HP can a LB7 transmission handle?
The point being made in that thread is to not exceed 50 HP in an LLY or 80 HP in a LB7, and do not exceed 100 ft lbs of torque in a LLY or 160 ft lbs of torque in a LB7 if you want the Allison to have a long life.
