On October 19, 2015, it was announced that GoAnimate would migrate from Adobe Flash and go towards HTML5 animation, which can allow mobile device compatibility. All user accounts defaulted to Vyond Studio on August 14, 2019.
Will GoAnimate shut down?
GoAnimate for Schools was built on older technology (Flash) that will no longer be supported by all major browsers beginning in 2020. In preparation for this, we decided to retire GoAnimate for Schools instead of rewriting it using newer technology.

January 9, 2017: Prior to this date, it was noted that the character creators were still on the website, and on this day, they were removed.
