Is ModMic UNI the same as ModMic 5?
First, to clarify, the ModMic USB, ModMic Uni, and ModMic Wireless use the same Uni-directional microphone. Because the omni-directional mic is unchanged from the ModMic 5 we’ve left it off from the test to keep things simple. We promise these files are raw audio that has not been edited in any way.

Are Modmics worth it?
It’s good enough for streaming or recording voiceover for YouTube videos. And if you are starting out podcasting as a hobby, it’s totally serviceable for that. In terms of how it compares to gaming headsets, I think it’s better than anything you’ll get for under $200. But some of that is going to come down to taste.

How do I pair the ModMic Wireless? Press and hold BOTH the ModMic receiver button and the ModMic Wireless button for 5 seconds, until the blue lights blink rapidly on both devices. Release both buttons and the lights should return to a solid blue color if pairing is successful.
Can you use ModMic Wireless while charging?
Some people confuse uni-directional mics for noise cancelling even though it has nothing to do with active noise cancellation (but it does pick up less background noise). Can I use modmodmic with my Xbox One or Nintendo Switch?
ModMic USB and ModMic Wireless are not compatible with any Xbox console. The ModMic Uni will work with the Nintendo switch via a Y adapter. Consoles require a Y adapter. Note that any TRRS type Y adapter will work. Simply plug both the headphone and the mic into the Y adapter first, then plug it into the 3.5mm port in your controller.
