How much does it cost to camp at Peppersauce?
Peppersauce Campground has one first come first serve group camping area for up to 35 people at a time $50. The facility is equipped with vault toilets, several tables and benches, a grill, campfire rings and lantern posts. The parking area can hold up to 10 vehicles.
Why is there Poison Ivy in Peppersauce Creek?
These trees (and some notable clumps of poison ivy) cling to the banks of Peppersauce Creek, which provides sufficient moisture for them to prosper in spite of the fact that it’s rocky streambed is dry most of the year.
How far is Peppersauce Canyon from Oracle AZ?
Turn right (east) and drive 10 miles to the town of Oracle. Take the first Oracle exit and travel 4 miles through the town to Forest Road 38. Follow 38 to Peppersauce Canyon. Campsites at Peppersauce are spread throughout a creekside oasis of enormous Arizona sycamore and walnut trees that provide shade in summer and color in autumn.
How do I get to the cave in the creek?
To get to the cave, cross the street and head down into the creek. After about one minute of walking you will come to a sign for the cave. The entrance is to your left and up the hill. You will see the trail heading up. The opening is small and doesn’t look like much, and you will have to crawl through.
