What colors does Marine-Tex come in?
Marine-Tex epoxy putty comes in white or gray colors, and ONLY the white Marine-Tex can be tinted.
How long does it take for Marine-Tex to cure?
Marine-Tex is workable for 30 minutes at 72°F if mixed and spread thin across mixing board. (A lump of material, or higher temperatures, may generate a 15- to 20-minute working time due to the heat the epoxy creates within itself.) The cure time is 24 hours at a constant temperature of 72°F.
What is Marine-Tex used for?
Marine-Tex is a creamy paste consistency that can be applied on vertical or horizontal surfaces, easily fills gaps, and can be shaped to rebuild damaged components. Marine-Tex paste provides waterproof repairs that can be used with fiberglass tape or cloth to bridge holes and reinforce structural repairs as needed.
Can Marine-Tex be painted?
Yes. FlexSet is sandable and paintable after a full cure. Be sure to use an epoxy friendly paint that is suitable for your application.
How long does it take Marine-Tex to harden?

Cure Time: 24 hours at a constant temperature of 72F. Lower temperatures will create longer cure times. It is not recommended to apply the product in temperatures below 55F.
Can I use Marine-Tex be applied underwater?
Yes, but the Marine-Tex is likely to wash away in moving water while it is trying to cure. The FlexSet is better for underwater applications because it is of a denser consistency. If you would like to try an underwater application, mix the epoxy above the water, then deposit it on wax paper or plastic wrap.
Can you put gel coat over Marine-Tex?
The reason is that gelcoat is polyester and marine tex is epoxy. Epoxy will stick to gelcoat, but gelcoat will not stick to epoxy. Go with gelcoat as long as the gouges are no deeper than the cloth or matt. If they are deeper than that, fill them with polyester putty first, let it cure, then add the gelcoat.
Can you use Marine-Tex underwater?
